Moonset in Nembo land

The "moonsets" down here is just as breath-taking as the sunsets.
Last night we had a full moon and this morning I got up before the sun to watch the moon set and it was well worth getting up at this hour.
Not a lot of lights around, it is not like we have streetlights down here so everything was illuminated this morning by our kitchen and bathroom lights and great to practise taking some shots with my camera in these conditions.

Hope you all had a great day.

Greenery Goodness

It is so green and lush here after the rainy season.
There is patches of green grass where you'd normally find sand and dirt and it seems like the whole island has been washed clean. Our banana tree in the back is growing, (yay)! and we have a papaya tree sprouting up in front of our bathrooms amongst some aloe vera looking plants.
The bougeanvilleas are growing like weeds and it is great to be amongst so much green.

An afternoon

We are finally back on our little magical island.
It has taken some time to get used to the heat and to settle back into island tempo but it is so good to be here again.
We are at the very end of the rainy season and our lemon grass has grown big and strong. So what better way to celebrate the afternoon than to climb onto the hammock, enjoy the long shades that the coconut trees are providing, read a book and have a cuppa'....
whilst waiting for my man who is enjoying long office hours in the blue room.
