Afternoon tea at the Bluebird cafe in Chelsea

Living in London we are pretty spoilt for choice when it comes to afternoon tea.
Unfortunately I hardly ever go.
This weekend however I got visitors and we ended up in the upstairs bar at the Bluebird in Chelsea for a rather swanky champagne afternoon tea.
After hours spent in the shopping haven of London it was actually really nice to put our feet up, sit down and enjoy the atmosphere of this bar.

We ended up with chamomile tea

and a mysterious flowering tea which tasted delish.

The Bluebird is a pretty popular spot so if you are going it is worth booking a table beforehand.
The afternoon tea consisted of some rather sad looking finger sandwiches, but as we worked our way up the tiered plates it got better and better. The scones were scrumptious with clotted cream and jam, and the macaroons were the icing on the cake for me.
Go in hungry.
Bon Apetit!
