Old Bergen

In the 19th Century Bergen was Europe's largest city consisting of wooden houses.
And due to the wooden houses Bergen has had its fair share of major fire disasters.
The appearance of the city has changed on many occasions often due to these big fires.
Old Bergen is a reconstructed town with approx 50 houses from the 18th, 19th and 20th Centuries.

It is an idyllic reminder of what Bergen used to be like and if you are ever so lucky to take the trip to Bergen you should come and experience the old Bergen. You can step into the old houses with a guide and get a full tour of this little town.
We were lucky enough to find an open door into this old house
so we did a tour on our own...

without guides....

not allowed but hey we didn't know.

Check out the wallpaper!
It smelt old and I would not like to spend the night here as I am sure the place is absolutely crawling with ghosts.
