Bryggen, Bergen

Bryggen in Bergen was a big trading empire from the 14th -16th century.
It is part of the World Unesco Heritage List.
Part of the buildings, around 62 of them remain of the former landscape.
As I've mentioned earlier most of the city has been burnt down to the ground and built up again and these building is the few that managed to escape the fires.

On a beautiful summer day like today the harbour is packed with tourists and locals leisurely sipping beers or eating ice creams from the many restaurants by the water front.
This picture was taken around nine in the evening.
