A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips.....

In my eyes, my mum is the best cook in the world. This time when I came home she surprised me with the best cake I have tasted this year.
Oreo Cake:
Around 3 pckts of Oreo bikkies, crushed into smitherines.
100g melted butter.
2 pckts Philadelphia, softened
2,5 dl icing sugar
3,5 dl whipped cream
2,5 table spoons sugar
1 pck chocolate mousse
Chocolate sauce topping.

Leave 1/4 of the biscuit crumbs mix the rest with with melted butter and press it in a 24cm baking tin.
Mix the cheese and the icing sugar on medium-high speed until it goes creamy. In another bowl whip together the sugar and the cream.
Carefully mix together half of the cream with the cheese. Place it on top of the crumbled up bikkies in the cake tin and put in the fridge.
Then make the chocolate mousse, put it on the cake, then on top of that put the rest of the whipped cream and what is left of the oreo crumbs.
Leave in the fridge to set.
Get a spoon, -dig in.

Because you're worth it :-)

  1. Oh my god, that is a serious cake. There wasn't any of this of offer at the markets yesterday. To think Bunge is missing out on all that goodness. Sounds like your mum is spoiling you rotten, as you so deserve.
